Health Problems Associated with Being Obese

"There is so much pressure around us to be thin that it's easy to forget that the optimal body weight really is about our health and not just our trouser size. But recently, a couple of new studies on health and weight confirmed that maintaining a healthy body weight is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves- and letting it slide can be the most dangerous. In one study, the American Medical Association reported that on average, obese people were found to have nearly twice the chronic health problems of people with normal weight." (Frank Dibley)
Being Obese is not something you want to hear in your life or find in your family. It is always associated with lots of health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, difficult sleeping, back and waist pain and list goes on and on.

With regards to these medical issues that come along with overweight, no one should be adamant to weight problems. We all need to pay attention to our weight. We should not let it goes out of hand.We should do things that within our capacity (types of food we eat, exercise activities) to bring it under control.

It's true that we gain weight when we eat more that we can burn off. But this conventional diet wisdom does not always hold true. Weight gain can also be caused by health conditions such as hypothyroidism, food sensitivity, cushing's syndrome, organ disease, prescription drug use, anxiety, blood sugar imbalance, and essential fatty acid deficiency.

Hypothyroidism and Weight Gain

Hypothyroidism is a quiet epidemic affecting millions of women. No matter how much you sleep, you're always walking up exhausted. Trying to shake the cobwebs from your head, you step on the scale, what! it just can't be true. You've been watching your diet, cutting out the junk food, exercising ..... and not only haveyou lost anything - you've gained even more pounds.

How to cure Hypothyroidism without Prescription or Begging your Doctor

You can do this by just adding a simple but vital supplement (Iodine) to your diet. Consider how important iodine is, even $0.25 worth is all that stands between an infant developing normally and one that be severelly mentally handicapped the rest of its life.

Iodine is essential to a proper functioning thyroid. But as we grow older, our thyroid starts slowing down. It just can't metabolize the iodine it needs as efficiently, and that means the hormones produce goes down as well.

The re are two other reasons why most of us are iodine  deficient and between them are:
-Inadequate dietary
-Exposure to toxic substances that displace iodine.
